Discount Guard Privacy Policy

Information We Access

Discount Guard accesses Shopify order and discount information to identify potentially unusual discount usage patterns. This may include order identifiers, dates, discount amounts, discount codes, customer email addresses, phone numbers, names, and shipping or billing addresses.

How We Use Information

We use this information to calculate discount analytics and identify potentially related orders that have used the same discount code.

Our optional public-code exposure monitoring feature checks discount codes against publicly indexed web results to identify possible public exposure.

Data Storage and Retention

Customer order information is retrieved from Shopify when analytics are requested and is not intentionally stored in a separate historical order database.

Discount Guard stores merchant-specific discount-code classifications, exposure scan results, and authentication information needed to operate the app.

Third-Party Services

Discount Guard uses service providers for application hosting, database storage, and public web searches. Discount codes and store-identifying information may be sent to a search provider to perform exposure scans.

Data Sharing

We do not sell merchant or customer personal information. Information is processed by service providers as necessary to operate the application.

Data Deletion

Discount Guard processes applicable Shopify privacy requests. Merchant-specific stored data is deleted in response to Shopify shop redaction requests.

Security

Discount Guard uses Shopify authentication and authenticated API access. Application data is hosted using managed infrastructure.
